Celebrating LeBron James garnering his third Most Valuable Player award, or “Employee of the Year” as Nike has dubbed him, the Nike LeBron 9 MVP Edition was debuted last night in a Miami Heat victory. The shoe sports a Heat-inspired palette, with a white-based upper set off by a gradient black-to-red fade and yellow accents, and a special MVP graphic at the heel, as well as three MVP awards with corresponding years on the insole. While the shoe was designed specifically for LBJ, there will be a public Nike LeBron 9 MVP Edition release date, with the shoe dropping in very limited numbers in June.#gallery-1 {margin: auto;}#gallery-1 .gallery-item {float: left;margin-top: 10px;text-align: center;width: 33%;}#gallery-1 img {border: 2px solid #cfcfcf;}#gallery-1 .gallery-caption {margin-left: 0;}/* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */Nike LeBron 9 MVP EditionNike LeBron 9 MVP EditionNike LeBron 9 MVP EditionNike LeBron 9 MVP EditionNike LeBron 9 MVP EditionNike LeBron 9 MVP EditionNike LeBron 9 MVP Edition (Insole)Nike LeBron 9 MVP EditionLeBron James ‘Employee of the Year’

Call it the Nike LeBron 11 Blue/Green-Pink-Yellow, although I’m sure there’s an obviously intuitive nickname that perfectly explains from whence the shoe derives its inspiration, but it escapes me at the moment. Anyone?Dark blue Hypersposite piecing sits against solid green Hyperfuse, alternating back to blue through the midfoot mesh. Contrast then comes by way of yellow on the midfoot Swoosh, tongue-branding and outsole, while a pink inner-lining completes the look. We’ll bring you detailed photos and release info as we get’em, but in the meantime, how does this stack up to the early LeBron 11 looks?Photos via sneakergaga.Previous story Nike AZF2K3? As we mentioned last week, the Nike LeBron X Low Reptile release date is set for this week, dropping Thursday, October 10 at select Nike Basketball accounts.Taking a page out of the whole neutral-upper-juxtaposed-by-conspicuous-patterns book of the Air Jordan 5 Bel Air, the shoe starts out with a solid, subdued grey Hyperfuse upper. Blue Swoosh and Flywire add a bit of contrast, as do the speckled teal laces, before a wild, multicolored reptilian-inspired print appears on the midsole and inner-lining — check out the eye at midfoot! — forcefully arresting the eye.Arguably one of the best lowtop LeBron colorways of the year, the shoe will retail for the usual $165 at retailers including Foot Locker. A quick sellout is a distinct possibility.Nike LeBron X LowTarp Green/New Turquoise-Poison GreenStyle #: 579765-30110 October 2013$165
