The shoe features a white leather upper split by the cool grey Flywire window beneath a green-outlined white Swoosh. That same green appears in the air unit and again on the outsole, although there it’s translucent. No word on a release yet, but one can only hope; this one is super fly. LeBron James has returned to Cleveland following four seasons in Miami, during which he was the target of many an Ohioan’s scorn and vitriol. So what’s the best way to to let the King know that all is forgiven? Why, celebratory license plates, of course. The Ohio House of Representatives’ Bill Patmon, a Cleveland Democrat, has proposed legislation that would create a “Witness 2.0″ LeBron James license plate to honor the Akron native as he returns home. The specialty plate would be available for an extra $20, a fee that would be split between the state and the LeBron James Family Foundation, an Akron-based charitable organization. At the moment, the proposal remains just that, currently being discussed by Patmon and his House colleagues. If all goes to plan, however, Patmon hopes to have the plate available before the beginning of the NBA season.Stay tuned to NB for updates as they develop, and hit the comments section to let us know if a LeBron James license plate is a good idea.
Slated for a Summer 2010 release, the Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low is starting to gain some steam. After seeing a relatively vague view a couple of months ago, some HQ images have finally turned up and they’re actually pretty attractive. The shoe uses leather instead of flywire and sports a separate perforated leather panel parallel to the midsole circling the entire shoe. Another major design difference apparent is the only-visible-in-the-heel air pocket, rather than the full length seen on the standard Air Max LeBron VII. All in all, the Air Max LeBron VII Low seem to be a much simpler, more subtle entry in the series and looks like a more fashionable off-court shoe, suitable for any style.
