So, how do you celebrate? If you’re ESPN, you inundate the American public with highlights, instant-reaction, and arbitrary rankings that place the performance in some historical context without even the slightest time taken to digest the significance. If you’re LBJ-comrade Brandon Weems, you preview a heretofore-unseen colorway of LeBron’s footwear, the Nike LeBron 11 Watch the Throne edition.Another take on the “Watch the Throne” design motif that, inspired by the Jay-Z/Kanye West album of the same name, was debuted on the LeBron IX, the shoe sets multicolored prints on the inner-lining and laces against a striking black upper. A gold Swoosh adds a bit more contrast, while an icy blue outsole completes the aesthetic.Alas, there’s not much precedent to suggest these will actually make it to retail, but you can still enjoy a full shot below. We’ll pass along updates if anything changes or, more likely, if a sample pair turns up on eBay.Previous story New Greece National Team Kits Ahead of World CupNext story New Brazil National Team Away Kit Ahead of World CupRelated PostsNike LeBron 11 Low BISCAYNE Release Info, Official PhotosSeptember 2, 2014Nike LeBron 11 MAISON DU LEBRON | Devil’s in the DetailsAugust 20, 2014Nike LeBron 11 Low BISCAYNE Release Date, PhotosAugust 19, 2014Nike Maison Du LeBron Collection | Release Info, Official PhotosAugust 18, 2014FacebookSearch NikeBlog.comRecent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!Recent PostsNew Nike Football Cleat Types Bring Speed to Every PositionNike LeBron 12 “Akron” PE is StunningNike Free Flyknit Hot Lava | Latest Flyknit Model Finally DropsThe Statuesque Air Jordan 9 “Militia Green”Nike Air Max NM Red/Black | Hideo’s Heat Returns!MIssionTo provide the most up to date news, images, and opinions on today's top sneaker company.FIND ARTICLESHomeAboutAdvertise on NBContactPrivacyTwitterFacebookRSSNikeBlog.com is not affiliated with the Nike, Inc. brand in any way, shape, or form.
